Having a yurt as my own space was something I had thought about for a while, when I decided to make Scotland and home my year round base and not go off to work Winter seasons abroad anymore it became more apparent that this would be the perfect way of having my own space as I was not in a position to get onto the property ladder yet and I wanted to stay in the area I had been born and raised, which is also the base that as a family we all run our businesses from.

I absolutely LOVE the space I have created and would recommend investing in a yurt to anyone, it’s so peaceful and you feel very held inside. In Summer I just slept with the doors open the whole time, the sunlight shines down on you through the crown of the yurt and I just stepped outside on my deck first thing in the morning for my coffee.

Winter is a little colder but the amazing stove I installed keeps me warm, I just have to be organised and get the fire on early and stoke it before bed. It’s a very special place to me and is now a feature on retreats as you can book out the yurt for the Glenlivet weekend!
